This weekend we take on Rochester United.
Although a top v bottom clash, there is nothing to be taken for granted.
The SCEFL website preview can be seen here ....
We all love a good top v bottom clash and that is exactly what we have when Welling Town welcome Rochester United to Bayliss Avenue. The visitors prop the rest up following a sequence of 11 games without a win but did put on a better performance in a narrow defeat to Erith & Belvedere last week. They will aim to get the shock win that sees them rise from the base while also getting revenge for a 6-3 defeat on day one of the campaign back in August. The 'Boots' have led the League all season and will not be looking to let that lead slip anytime soon. A 6-game unbeaten run with much-improved defensive statistics has helped them stay 4 points ahead of the rest and despite there being a host of challengers for their top spot it would be a surprise if that gap was to narrow this week.
