After literally 15 months of hard work, meetings, business plans, and a never-ending amount of calls and emails, we're in.
We'll take our place in the Southern Counties East Division One (Step 6) for 2018/19.
We thank SCEFL for their invitation to apply and their guidance throughout the application, especially Secretary Derek Peck who has worked tirelessly. We thank the FA for allowing us the opportunity to throw our hat in the ring as part of their re-structuring of the National League System, and for their positive feedback about our club.
We're also very grateful to the Kent County Football League (KCFL) for their support over our two years in their competition and recognise and very much appreciate the hard work all their officers put in and the potential headaches this move, as well as that of other clubs, may now create for them over the coming weeks. We’ve had a successful albeit brief couple of seasons in KCFL and would not be where we are now were it not for their faith in us from day one, and support throughout, so a special thank you to Cyril, Gavin and the rest of the leagues volunteers. I trust they can understand our desire has only ever been to progress our club to the best of our ability, and we look forward to enjoying continued membership of their competition via our reserve side.
Well done to all of the players, management and behind the scenes helpers who have made this happen in such a short space of time. You have, without exception, been brilliant.
