Continued expansion brings two new Welling Town adult sides, taking us to five in total.
Tristan Cropley will join us as manager of Welling Town A who will play in the Bromley and South London Football League. His squad will consist of mainly 16-21 year old players looking to develop, and with his background as a former Derby County academy player and Scottish football league player I am sure they are in safe hands.
Daniel Balogun and Yora Enzam also join us from West Ham United Foundation and Cardiff City's Development Centre respectively. Their squad of 16-19 year olds have almost exclusively come from East London and Essex academy sides and are looking to play men's football and progress on to our reserve and first teams in the coming 12-24 months. Their league placement is yet to be finalised, but it will provide an excellent opportunity for former professionally coached young players narrowly missing the professional game to have a second attempt at getting in to semi-pro football and beyond.
Both sides will bring competition for places moving upwards towards our Kent County reserve side and SCEFL first team, as well as offer fringe players football in our Sunday side to gain added experience of men's football during 2018/19.
Welcome to all three of you, and good luck!
