It’s been a frustration all season that we have not been able to publicise more of the great work being achieved by our under 11s side managed by Dan Beszant.
FA rules for non-competitive football mean their SelKent youth league campaign has no league tables, but they are regular winners of cups, both last summer, and also this past weekend …
Dan Beszant, manager, said … We travelled to the R&T Great Yarmouth tournament on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday 13/14th April and were victorious. Playing six games, we won them all, scoring 20 goals without conceding. The final was against the much fancied Bishop Stortford u11’s but we outplayed them and comfortably won 3-0. I was pleased to be told by numerous independent spectators that we were not only the best side, but best footballing side, and the boys deserve tremendous credit not only for winning, but for the way they won. Myself and all the parents are very proud of them and hope this spurs them on to continue achieving their potential and hopefully pick up another trophy in our cup final next month.
Well done lads. Huge potential for the future.
